Comments
Collapsing was general on all aspects in the low elevations, collapsing on lower density snow 12-18" deep from early in the storm.
Collapsing on the December facets noted only on the polar aspects at the lower elevations. Here, 2' of new snow sits above 1' of very weak faceted snow from Nov/Dec.
Noted numerous soft slab naturals from last night or early morning in steep terrain of all aspects (including low elevations - see 1st pic) perhaps 12" deep but only 20' wide.
NE Chute Elk Point naturalled, leaving impressive debris in Primrose.
