Comments
We traveled from the white pine trailhead up into maybird and found saturated snow on all aspects below 9400'. Above 9400', good skiing/riding on 2-12" of windbroken particles and graupel, upon a stiff bed surface in any terrain exposed to the wind. Ski penetration 20-30cm boot penetration 20-50 cm. Height of snow at 10K on a NE aspect was 110cm. In steep, sheltered terrain we triggered some slow running loose-dry avalanches among the surface snow, but did not observe any other signs of instability.
