Comments
Quite a thin snowpack; likely representing many areas of Provo. Total snow depths of 60-80cm at 9000-9500'. Fairly simple structure on northerly aspects: upper half is slowly rotting storm snow (top down) from the past two weeks; the lower half is older 4F, 4F+ faceted snow. See profile. Easy to see that some of the steeper northerly couloirs had avalanched during last week's storm and wind but stability today seemed to be good to very good. Probably close to LOW danger if not already.
Despite the poor structure, tests only yielded ECTN23 or ECTX.
Surface is weakening and will only continue to weaken in the coming days.
