Snow Characteristics Comments
I got out today to some skiing before our forecast high and dry period does too much damage to the snowpack. With all the dense snow on the ground, some passage of time, and cold temps this morning, the snowpack was setup today. There was enough support for me to get into some higher terrain. For the most part the snowpack is supportive, the exception I found was in exposed scree fields. There, I broke through the layers on my skis and could feel the snowpack was rotten. I found a meter of snow in the NW terrain I was in. My tests did not produce any propagation. The snowpack appears to be very solid for the moment.
