Significantly cooler feeling temps above 6500'. Sun was warm and softening surface/ melting faceted crystals on top. Wind is significantly higher on ridge lines, but with little to no available snow for transport.

Snow surface was a stout 8cm crust with radiation recrystalization crystals on top (RR melting quickly once hit by the sun, crust surface softening quickly as well). Crust was mostly supportable but would break thru occasionally.
