Snow Characteristics Comments
New snow has been affected by the sun and/or wind depending on your aspect. North facing off of the ridgelines still holds nice soft snow. The rocks are still quite prevalent, even in the deepest areas. Down along the first stretch of closed road and in the shady meadows I noticed some surface hoar developing.

Red Flags Comments
As I walked around off of the skintrack I felt a few collapses but the cracks were short and seemed isolated to the area directly adjacent to me. Did not remotely trigger lanes leap.

Comments
This is further along the ridge than Lane's Leap proper. The crystals nearest the ground are a mix of advanced facets with some striated cups. There are also clumps of refrozen ice. There is a consistent layer of unstable, sugary snow just below the thick crust around 18 cm from the ground that was giving me action in the snowpit. There was some faceting occurring just above the highest crust. I continued up to 10420 before descending the north ridge. I hit a few rocks on the way down. The sunny sections of the road are losing snow.
