Problem #1 Comments
Abundant evidence of wind-drifted snow today. A few centimeters of fresh snow is covering much of the previous wind-affected snow. However, it was easy to feel significant differences between west aspects (shallow, 5cm of new snow above a MF crust) and east/south east aspects (30-40cm of new snow).
Large pillows and drifts of snow were abundant along ridgetop.
Broke ~4 miles of trail today with no cracking or collapsing. Several small steep test slopes did not produce any results.
Snow was not overly wind-affected or of poor ski quality, just thicker in the deposition zones and a bit denser.

Decreasing Danger
Problem #2 Comments
The only concern noted today was a weak interface within the storm snow. Easy CT results and shovel tilt tests produced repeatable failures about 10-20 cm down.
