The rain /snow line is right around 9000'. Mixed conditions exist until that line. Above 9000' the Abajo's received 6 to 8 off fresh, soft, cold snow. I was concerned with all the rain but my travels revealed no red flags. I topped out at 9800' on a NE/E face. More snow started to fall on my second lap.

I dug a quick pit to see how everything was bonding. The rain definitely consolidated our snow pack. No reaction to tests.

The road up to Dalton Winter Trailhead is a little rutted and iced over in places. We haven't had a plow service since the last major storm. Be cautious. It's more like one lane up, one lane down.
