Problem #1 Comments
Remote triggered a couple of small cornices from about 20 feet away. The cornices did not trigger any wind slabs below. New wind drifts felt very soft with about 8 inches of ski penetration while skinning.

Persistent Weak Layer
Problem #2 Comments
While skinning up, I heard a few loud, deep collapses and decided to dig down to see what it was failing on. About 125cm total snow on the ground on this 27° southeast slope at about 7000 feet. Results were ECTN 13 at 90cm failing on a thin layer of small grain facets topping the melt freeze crust from before this latest storm cycle and ECTP 25 at 75 CM failing on a thin layer of facets topping a thick melt freeze crust. I don't know enough to know if this is of any concern moving forward. After digging the pit put my skis on and continued skinning up and I heard 2 more loud collapses soon after and one more on my way down.
Comments
Overall I feel that the new snow and new wind slabs are the biggest problems, but the loud wumpfs surprised me today.
Pictures are of the small cornices that broke as I walked by. I'll attach a video of my extended column test as well.
