Comments
Where we traveled, we encountered more well behaved snow than anticipated. New snow is starting to show signs of settlement. While the new snow is settling, it is not displaying the cohesion of slab formation at mid elevations, in wind protected terrain. At ridge tops, we observed cornices on both South and North aspects, with moderate winds transporting snow out of the south and WSW. Kicking the south facing cornice was non-reactive. Travel seemed more manageable today on both ascent and descent as the new snow settles.
Evidence of cornice growth on both south and north aspects of the ridgeline
