We had quite the range of snow surfaces today, from all sorts of crusts that ranged from scary bulletproof to supportable to breakable to zipper to sun, to settled powder in both sheltered and random unsheltered locations, to the first corn(meal) of the season. In trying to get a sense of how the upcoming stormlette and the following midweek storm-max snows are going to bond to these super-varied surfaces my mind kinda reels; what will the bonding be of the new snow to all of these? I honestly have no idea, so once again I will try to be pretty careful if indeed the storms deliver as advertised. Maybe all the current upside-down tracks will help hang onto the new snow??!
