Moderate East winds in the area of the divide this am. Less wind further from the canyon.

Wind crust in all open areas, sun crust on most of the open slopes except north and northeast. Still nice turning in the wind sheltered areas, the lower the better.

I was able to get some minor (4 inch) wind slabs to break on the ridges. Wet stuff visible on the south slopes in the afternoon.

Wind slab seems to be the main problem, but very stubborn. As seen in photo I saw wind loading in a "protected" area at 6400ft.
