Comments
Travels today took us to upper Red Pine. The forecasted wind did not verify where we were, as the gusts were few, far in between, and out of the southwest. The gusts that did come through, however, were strong. Graupel and dendrite mix began falling more consistently around 12:30. Attempted to dig in a shallower area with no luck (HS 430). However, the forming wind board was present in the pit. Did a hasty grain ID, but the large round grains down low I have to imagine are old graupel.
