Problem #1 Comments
3-5 inches of new snow below treeline with some cracking and soft slab instabilities where snow was drifted into 4-8 inch drifts. Up on the ridge there was around 7-9 inches of new snow with more soft slabs in wind drifted snow 10-14 inches deep, this was Tuesday night snow as I was up Tuesday afternoon and not much had fallen on the north end of the range, I would be most concerned on NE-SE slopes where wind deposited snow was likely deeper. Clear weak layer where new snow settled on previous sun/wind affected snow. Something to keep an eye on when next large load occurs.
