Weather Comments
Calm, chilly morning up in White Pine. At 9 AM I measured the temperature to be 11 degrees F at ~10,200' in the shade. Winds did pick up a little in the afternoon but not much action today. However there were many obvious signs of previous wind drifting.

Snow Characteristics Comments
Above 10,000'ish the surface of the snow was quite variable depending on the exposure to the wind. We found beautiful blower pow, lightly buried debris, upside down wind junk all the way to hard wind crusts. We saw some cracking, big cornices, and set off a 10 foot wide ~6 inch deep wind slab that slide for all of 6 or 8 feet. (East 10,100').
Pictured below are some cool wavy wind ripples on Red Top.
