Comments
I snowshoed to the beaver ponds on Broads Saturday afternoon. The snow surface ranged from creamy to a bit suncrusted in some locations. The snow structure from 7,500 feet up was deep powder that was somewhat moist considering the AR we're currently experiencing in the West.
I observed the remnants of the glide avy that was reported on the 6th. However, it was covered in recent snows and only discernable at its terminus.
The weather was clear with no wind. New snow well over a foot was present making for superb snowshoeing. If fact, there were no tracks on Bonkers proper and only a few tracks at the bottom of the very bottom. Wise indeed!
