Heavy Snowfall
Red Flags Comments
The most recent storm delivered 10 to 15" of medium density powder. The weight of this new snow, combined with the fact that the November PWL is still present could prove problematic in thin snow conditions at lower elevations where the PWL is closer to the surface.

Comments
I dug a 150 cm deep snow pit on a NE facing slope at 8500ft. I ran a ECT with no results. ECTX... The snow depth total is 210cm's in that area. The snowpack, at that depth, appeared to be right side up.
The total height of the snowpack was about 213cm's (85"). I dug down about 150cm's to perform a ECT which didnt provide any results. i.e. no collapses.
The snow conditions are of the charts right now. Deep, solid base, nice dense powder and the trees are covered with thick pastie snow. We are off to a wonderful start tot the season. Get out, and get in it.
