Storm totals were 62 to 55 cm depending on location. Excellent riding in bottomless light density rightside up snow.

2 pits dug near Scott's Back Door and both indicating the potential for a new PWL near the interface of the latest event to the old snow surface. One pit had small broken pieces of SH while the other one had larger remnants of SH. One was at 9250, WNW, 15 degrees, CTH SC x 2 and ECTP23 at 55cm down in facets showing small signs of SH striations, HS: 165cm. The other was at 9300, NNW, ECTP23 at 62 down, HS: 190, also in facets showing better and more preserved signs of striations. This interface was below the initial 5cm of heavy/warm/wet snow that fell in the latest event. It appears that this weak layer was preserved by the small light density events earlier in the week and capped by rime event on Tuesday. Then the initial warm snow event that preceded our latest 60 cm storm was able to completely preserved this buried SH. Difficult to say how widespread this issue is, and it is likely Isolated. On another note, Stubborn Clean Shears were also observed on South Facing Terrain at the same interface, and there were no SH remnants observed at this hasty location, just small grained facets. Finally and interestingly, another report from Pink Pine observed the same buried potential PWL in this 1.5cm facet sandwich.
