Nice fresh light powder and lots of drifting in the Northern Bear River Range today. We found nice riding, but still not able to open it up due to shallow early season conditions and many rocky landmines. We found a sugary persistent weak layer to be widespread in the area and poor snow structure exists on many slopes. The November snow is very loose and sugary in the basal layers in areas with shallow snow cover and on most slopes at lower and mid elevations...
We triggered shooting cracks in freshly drifted snow on the cut-bank in Egan Basin.
