We found very sensitive conditions at around 7000' on slopes right next to the Franklin Basin Road... Very soft slabs of powder cracked, collapsed, and failed easily when tickled on buried surface hoar about 6" deep...
We found sugary, faceted snow now buried by the powder everywhere we dug, but the faceted snow grains are bigger and more developed where the old (preexisting) snow is shallow...
