Snow Characteristics Comments
1.5 to <3 feet of total snow at upper elevations. Not finding much strong snow, with weakest in the top 6" or so. Even sun-crusts are pretty weak, and the snow is quite loose and sugary almost everywhere. Widespread areas with surface hoar feathers. Variable, crumbly sun-crust on south facing slopes, with none on W-N-E or on the flats, even where pretty sunny.
Snow Profile
Comments
Paige found some huge surface hoar feathers in Logan Canyon on Monday
Loud powder on the flats in sunny terrain, with the sled track sinking into surface hoar feathers and sugary faceted snow about 6" deep.
