Facets all over! At higher elevations I noticed surface facets on W-N-E aspects, and also facets starting to show below the surface. A thin melt/freeze crust on NW-N aspects with facets on top was evident and could make for a nasty layer in the future. This will be important to pay attention to when we get our next snowstorm, these are all potential weak layers. Did make for a very enjoyable descent though.
