Comments
I was back up on Wolf Creek pass today and found about 8 inches of new supportable snow. There is a little bit of loading but just not much snow to work with. On the steep northeast my compression tests were consistently breaking between CT 10-13 SC Q3 at the new snow old snow interface. We now have three distinct layers of snow, so in my mind there is now a low avalanche danger. This storm has retired side-by-siding in favor of sledding. Finally, thanks USFS for maintaining our forests.
