Clear, crisp morning with increasing clouds on my way home around noon. Brisk NW winds along the ridges, not changing the avy hazard.

Great snow surface... but with only 12"-18" total snow depth, it's still super shallow on the eastern front.

We're off to a good start and we've seen much worse snow structure. But the incoming storm is a big blast and I expect a rising danger as dense, heavy snow stacks up on a weakening snow surface.
