We hit the top of Cardiff Pass around 1045 where winds were moderate with strong gusts from the NW. AST is wet and heavy, and recent wind slabs were shallow but stiff and widespread at all aspects on ridgelines up high. Saw one small human triggered wind slab on the SE flank of the pass triggered by a group heading up to Cardiff Peak.
Flagging noted on all ridgelines till 1200 when winds eased down to LGM.
Saw 3 more human triggered wind slabs today running from the chutes above the Cardiac Ridge skinner, with one coming down as we were passing through below. A nice gentle reminder to look before crossing the road in Wasangeles.
