Comments
I got out today to see what our snowpack looks like before out next set of storms. Our old snow from last week has consolidated nicely. With our new snow falling medium to light density on top of last week’s snow, the quality was great. I spent my time on low angle SE facing terrain that is mostly grass and wind loaded. There was a melt-freeze crust under the new snow which provided a solid surface to slide on. I found sheltered north facing terrain holding up to 16 inches of snow all right side up. The wind was on all day out of the west and was filling in tracks in exposed terrain on the ridge.
