A quick ob to mention that it seems that the storm that apparently is on our doorstep seems like it'll be falling on pretty bomber snow and there should be a good bond? This afternoon it was pretty goey below about 8700' and on high north there was something actually resembling powder, but not very faceted due to the warm temps and wind that would have blown any potential surface facets away. So it seems to me that we'll be dealing "only" (??) with storm snow instabilities with this hopefully-aggressive storm.
As noted in previous forecasts, south facing slopes have taken a beating lately, and it's almost early-season-thin on south facing lines.
