Comments
Gained the ridge from rattlesnake to pine canyon to look at snow totals in the big south east face of the Wellsvilles. Noticed shooting cracks on the ridge line and about 7 inches of snow above 8000'.
Obviously this is a huge flag for the main ridge and the steep avalanche starting zones that line the tops of the canyons.
Great skiing today, avoided wind slab and kept things within reason to not get sloughed.
Another side note any wet slide debris is now shallow buried boulders.
