Comments
Started out this morning under partly cloudy skies and 27degrees. Experienced some minor cracking just off the skin track. Dug a pit at 9100ft on 25 degree slope angle due North and got an ECT10. Failed about 2ft down on the Jan/Feb drought layer. Completely faceted under the soft slab it seemed all the way to the ground. Was able to trigger a decent collapse on the adjacent slope with a pair of modest jumps. I will not be trusting anything steep on the northern half of compass just yet. A mixed bag of surface conditions and at 10a things were beginning to soften up slightly even under partly cloudy skies in the gully. Trailhead temp read 41 upon exit. Curious how much things heated up the rest of the day.
