To start the day snow on the north half of the compass was quite good. As temps climbed even the shaded areas started to show signs of heating. The south half of the compass was a mixed bag of solid and breakable crusts.

I can’t remember a time that I’ve seen more red flags in one ride. We observed widespread cracking and collapsing. Avalanches were easily triggered on any test slope steeper than 30 degrees.
