NE 10,000' The various little storms from last week along with winds created wind drifted snow 6 - 12 inches in this area in spots. We noticed a skier caused a little sloughing on a steep porton of big mac. Cornices were either previously cut off or failed but didn't run much and just crumbled down 30-40 feet. I couldn't get a slab to crack or propogate ontop the old snow surface, to me it felt that things were bonding ok for now, it's possible that getting 1-2 inches each storm throughout the week helped things feel more solid. I still avoided the steeper sections of Big O and kept things moderate. I think avoiding the potential of getting sloughed into consequential terrain like rocks, trees , cliffs, gullies etc would be best to think about. The riding was excellent compared to the last several weeks.
