Snow Characteristics Comments
Powder but bottom-feeding on old crusts, wind board, bottomless surface facets, and old tracks. Still - to have fresh snow was something.
Many solar aspects dampened and will have a breakable melt-freeze crust Friday morning.

Comments
Route was Alta>Flagstaff>Days>Holy Toledo>Cardiac Ridge
Northerly winds had scoured starting zones in Upper Days and Holy Toledo. (Pics 1, 2). No wind slabs noted, just isolated pockets of wind drifts.
Minor sluffing noted in steepest rocky terrain along the ridge, but found the surface facets and new snow wanted to run w provocation in steep protected terrain. (Pic 3).
Bottom Line: not enough snow to be bottomless, not enough of a slab to be a problem. Yet. Winds may change this situation. (See video.)
