Comments
Dug a hand pit in the beaver backcountry in an area with cliffs and gullies around and interesting wind loading patterns. Only one crust noted (pit dug to 70cm down, but not to ground) that seemed to be weak and decomposing with faceting occurring beneath. Wind loading in isolated areas of small pockets of new snow on top of these weak crust/facet combos is my biggest concern over the next few days. Nice to ski some new snow today.
