Snow Characteristics Comments
In very sheltered areas soft snow that rides quite nice is still found, but in the open areas the winds have been blowing and creating some hard dense wind slabs along with lots of textured snow.

No red flags in my travels, but have noticed some recent winds creating some shallow wind slabs in limited terrain.

Problem #1 Comments
The increase in winds have been creating some isolated shallow wind slabs in a few areas.
Comments
Came across a couple natural shallow wind slabs that likely released a day or two ago up high on the cold shady north side of Moffit Peak. Possibly a cornice broke free from the up tick in winds and this would be the type of place where winds have created some fresh wind slabs high on the ridge line.
