Problem
New Snow
Problem #1 Comments
The new snow seems quite well bonded to the decaying ice/rain crust from two weeks ago. I was able to get surfaces sluffs on steep slopes only.
Comments
Yesterday I skied south of the divide and today north of the divide. Both days up to 7500ft. The five inches of snow have made for some decent turning and the rain/ice crust is decaying quickly with the new snow bonding quite well. Overall things out there are improving with nice conditions on the sheltered north slopes.
Photo: wind loading on the west side of the compass from the East winds.
