Comments
I got out today to find plenty of soft snow to ski on. The surface hoar is growing and the snow just below the surface is faceting. Surface facet depth at 9500ft was between 2 and 6 inches depending on aspect, slope angle and exposure. Skiing mid-thirty terrain produced plenty of facet-spray seen in the pic below and steeper terrain was manageably sluffing. Other than the facets on the surface, the snowpack is holding up really well through this high and dry period. It's go anywhere snow and coverage is great.
