Skied the Birthday bowls for the 35th year on January 18th. These start at 7000ft. and the conditions are very challenging with ice, runnels and sastrugi. But at least the surface is supportable and in places fairly smooth. The sheltered areas have an inch of surface hoar which could be an issue if it ever snows again?
