Observed 25mm ( 1 inch) plus size surface hoar. Preserved through the day in shady and sheltered slopes.
Not a problem today, may never become a problem, but when we do get more snow we will want to ensure these are no longer present on snow surface. Regardless, remarkable size and beauty.
