Rain runnels and crunchy snowpack starting at 6700'-6800'. All slopes showed intense rain channeling. Flatter areas had divets or pockets from the rain. Poking and proding at snow on east facing shaded terrain was still crusty. Punchy and hard packed everywhere.
Perhaps this is needless to say, but today was more of an exploratory hike than any kind of ski mission. Skins never left the skis.
