We were unable to get into the mountains today to ride but got to swing by a wedding at the Logan temple instead. We were pretty surprised to see a crown on the west facing hill below the temple. I didn't wade up there in my dress to measure, but it looked to be about 5" deep and broke on the facets at the lawn level. Crown was about 30' wide and the cars below were lucky that it wasn't steep enough to really get going.

But in all seriousness, this made me reconsider riding any lower elevation slopes before thoroughly checking it out first.
