Problem #1 Comments
PWL is prevalent in this area on all aspects. I did a quick hand pit and found a small ice and facet layer above the ground. The collapsing I experienced and avalanches from the last storm cycle indicate that this layer is reactive.
Comments
Started touring midday under clear skies and temps in the low 30s. Absolutely beautiful day to tour with good temps and unlimited visibility. The PWL is still very present just about everywhere. I got two decent sized collapses in the lower meadow area and just about the entire headwall of Maybird and what I could see of Hogum had ran during this last storm cycle. It also looked like there was some wet loose activity coming off the extreme terrain on the BCC/LCC ridgeline.
