Small amount (~5cm in our pit) of new snow on fell on the graupel layer, which was the only reactive layer we observed in our pit.

Comments
Both CT and ECT failed on the graupel, but no propagation in the layer of new snow. The crust was deteriorating and I could not pull off snow above it in one slab. The old snow below the crust is solid and cohesive.
