Problem #1 Comments
We got two ECTs to propagate in two different pits on a westerly aspect, around 25-30 taps. The weak layer was soft snow right below a melt-freeze crust which formed sometime before the new snowfall today. We also observed planar shears in mitt pits on a southerly aspect, on the same weak layer. Northerly aspects did not appear to exhibit this weakness across multiple pits. We saw photos on social media of a slide in East Greely bowl, possibly on this layer. Worth keeping an eye on.
Comments
BLOWER pow. Are we sure it's October?
