Avalanche Problem #1
Problem
Wind Drifted Snow
Trend
Decreasing Danger
Problem #1 Comments
We did not see any evidence of avalanches of wind drifted snow, but there is potential in very steep terrain. Watch for recently drifted snow in and around terrain features like sub-ridges, cliff bands, and gullies.
Avalanche Problem #2
Problem
Wet Snow
Trend
Increasing Danger
Problem #2 Comments
Clouds helped keep the powder cold in the past couple days, but melting of the snow surface by the high angled Springtime sun this weekend will saturate the surface snow and cause a rising danger of loose wet avalanches on steep sunny slopes.
