Weather Comments
It was mostly cloudy with the sun poking through at times, but not enough to damage the snow surface. There were snow showers on and off all day with some impressive bursts of snow in the afternoon. There was no wind and it appears almost all the snow from the recent storm fell with very little wind. The temperatures above 8k were cold enough the snow stayed dry all day in Porter Fork.

Snow Characteristics Comments
About 2" fell during the day, mainly in the afternoon. The new snow seems to have bonded to the old snow surface very well. There were a few natural sluffs and point releases (see photo), and skiing over steep convex slopes produced some sluffs, but nothing that was really a threat. There was no evidence of a slab or density inversions in the new snow....pretty much just right side up with a good bond to the old surface, and enough body to keep a rider from feeling the bottom.
