L to M category winds from the E 9000' were drifting snow onto westerly slopes. The wind was blowing straight into large, developed cornices indicating that slopes that are normally scoured were being loaded. S facing slopes at 9000' had a breakable crust. The only locations with good snow were protected N and W facing slopes.
