Just a quick walk today. Tough conditions as the snowpack is refrozen (listen to video below). Snow temperatures were 25 degrees F in the top 5 inches of snow and generally 28 degrees F below that.
I'd say you probably can't buy an avalanche right now. What concerned me more was simply twisting a knee as my skis went over the uneven frozen snow surface. In steep terrain there could be slide for life conditions meaning that a fall could result in a dangerous slide all the way down a slope.
It was humid and mostly cloudy with clouds coming and going (photo below)
