Snow Characteristics Comments
Exposed terrain was quite wind affected. Big pillows of wind drifted snow on ridgetops.
Snow was denser and thick.
Sheltered terrain facing NE was lighter density.
New snow from this week's storm has compacted quite a bit. Felt very supportable.

Red Flags Comments
Saw a few avalanches from Thurs that were starting to fill back in. These slides are notable as they are similar to others we've seen in the zone that are releasing well off the ridge. Mid slope loading. No collapsing noted today - the facets are now buried 4+' and will take a bit more to trigger. No cracking noted. Less than 30 degree slopes still advised.
Comments
Avalanches in Secret Shot and Check Your Pants.
