Comments
New snow of about 15-20 inches in the zone heavy and drifted in the usual places. Poor snow structure existing on most slopes even in lower elevation and south facing. The weak snow has slowly been getting buried and today was enough weight for some very audible collapses. Many of these occurred on the uptrack on the 2nd or 3rd time up.
My thoughts are that the next couple of weeks are going to be very dangerous until things have a good chance to settle and heal up.
