Comments
We currently have 132cm (around 4'6")of snow on the north faces or in the trees. The old snow pack had settled to around 3' after the warm trend for the last week. This did have an ice crust on it that the new foot to foot and a half of new snow was sliding off of. The persistent layers of facets had not changed and still poses a very serious threat as well as the new snow. Today we saw test slopes failing and sliding as well as experienced fracturing sluffing and small pushing on low angle slopes. Stay off of or out from under slopes greater then 30°.
